Our mission as an art activism club is to allow students at UW-Madison to come together in a safe space where they can express themselves as artists and be able to utilize their artistic abilities in meaningful ways that can contribute to positive change in our society and campus life. Art for Change emphasizes the use of art as a medium for change which promotes social justice, inclusivity, diversity, activism, community, and education through art. Art plays a crucial role in social change; it paints the truth, it inspires us to act, and it encourages emotional expression in productive ways. Through service projects, on-campus murals, fundraising events, art shows, museum tours, and art making events, Art for Change has something for everyone and anyone who has an interest in art.
